If you're pushing PoE 2 endgame right now, you'll notice the market keeps circling the same shiny prizes: Omens of Light and Omens of Abyssal Echoes. People talk like they "just drop," but they don't. You've got to hunt Amanamu rares inside Abyss events, and that means planning your runs and knowing when not to hit things. If you're gearing specifically for this farm, it helps to think in terms of efficiency and targeting, the same way you'd compare PoE 2 Items before you commit to a build or a strategy.

The killer detail is Amanamu's Void. The rare spawns with that protective cloud, and if you're outside it, your damage basically doesn't count. Easy enough. But the part that trips players up is what happens when you do the "right" thing and stand in the cloud to kill it fast. If the monster dies while it's still inside its own Void, the payout is awful. You'll see low-tier Omens like Liege over and over, and it feels like the game is trolling you. It isn't. You're just finishing the kill in the wrong place.

What you actually want is the opposite of your usual mapping instincts: pull the rare out of the cloud, then delete it. Tap it to grab aggro, then back off to open ground. A quick dash, a blink, whatever your movement skill is. Don't panic and keep firing. Let it chase. You're shepherding the AI, not racing the timer. This is also why heavy DoT can be a pain. If your poison, ignite, or stacked ground effects tick too hard while it's still in the Void, you've already lost the roll before you even see the drop. A build with mobility and "now I burst, now I stop" damage feels way better for this.

Leaving this to luck is how you burn a whole evening and end up with nothing but clutter. Force the content. Use Abyss tablets so events actually show up, then take Atlas passives that push Abyss monster density and rare frequency. More Abyss packs means more chances to roll an Amanamu rare, and that's the only roll you care about if profit's the goal. And yeah, sometimes you'll open an Abyss and realize it's the wrong faction. If it's Kurgal or Ulaman and you're strictly farming Omens, skipping is often the correct play. It's not "cowardly," it's just time management.

Once you've got the rhythm, the farm becomes weirdly calm: spot the Void, pull the rare out, finish it clean, check the drop, move on. The biggest wins usually come from not getting greedy with your damage and not overcommitting to dead-end Abysses. And when you do hit those high-value Omens, it's nice to have options for gearing the next upgrade cycle too, whether that's trading in-game or topping up through a marketplace like U4GM for quick access to currency and items while you keep your maps rolling.
